Audition Components
Your audition will consist of two components:
Sides - a small section from the script, does not need to memorized, will be performed with others
Song - a small section from one of the show's songs, does not need to be memorized.
Choreography - a small section from a dance number in the show, this will be performed with others, it does needs to be memorized.
You will be evaluated on:
Character - solid interpretation of the character, shown through the sides and the song.
Intonation - are you singing the right notes?
Rhythm - are you singing the notes at the right time?
Overall tone quality - does your voice sound free and not tight or pressed?

Attend the Audition Workshop -
6th Grade- Tuesday, October 7th from 2:30-4pm in the TMS Auditorium.
7th & 8th Grade- Thursday, October 9th from 2:30-4pm in the TMS Auditorium.
Be sure to register on SNAP! first. At the workshop, you will be taught the sides, choreography and the song. While it is not mandatory for you to attend the workshop, it is strongly recommended.
Practice.
Work on your song, make sure you are familiar with ALL sides. Practice in front of friends and family. The more experience you have being nervous, the easier it is to work through it!

Audition Materials
All audition materials can be found within the Google Drive folder, embedded to the right on this page.
For your song, practice with practice tracks as you learn. Then, make sure you practice with the accompaniment-only track, as this is what you will audition with.
If the audio tracks stop working, click the three dots in the upper right corner and then "Open in New Window." You can also download the file directly to your device.

Be sure to talk through your transportation with your parents/guardians. Activity buses will be available for those who audition before 4pm. Please check your route prior to your audition.
Those signing up for the 4:15-5:30 timeslot will need to arrange their own rides. A parent/guardian should pick you up at TMS Door 1.

Informational Packets
These are the packets that were received during the informational meeting. If you did not attend the meeting or you misplaced your packets, you can print them out from here.
Blue Packet- This packet is to be filled out by the student and signed by the parent/guardian. This packet must be completely filled out and returned at your audition time.
White Packet- This packet is information to be kept at home. This is your information to refer back to if you have any questions.
Orange packet- This is the packet for students to use to practice the sides and the songs. This packet can be brought into auditions for student use. The directors do not need this packet back.
