Kindergarten Music Activities

• Sing a favorite song from music class to a friend or family member.

• Keep the steady beat on your lap while listening to music.

• Teach someone in your house how to play the singing game "Doggie, Doggie".

• Play "Charlie Over the Water" with someone in your house and see how many sea creatures you can come up with as you sing.

• Take a "Listening Walk" outside with a grown up and make a list of all of the sounds you hear.

• Create a dance to your favorite song or recorded music.

• Find a song you like and put the beat of the music in your feet and march around the room as you listen to the song.

• Read a story in your speaking voice and then make up a song about it and sing it in your singing voice.
