New Scout Registration Files
Health Form - (Part A&B for troop activities and Part C for summer camp) due annually
We would like to thank you for inquiring about Troop 711!
Our troop meets most Sundays from 6:30pm-8:30pm. We wear Class A uniforms for weekly meetings and we are in a Class B t-shirt or sweatshirt for most outdoor activities. The 1st Sunday is reserved for PLC Greenbar Meetings.
Troop 711 has at least one outing a month either a camping event, hiking, day trip, or service project. The goal is to have plenty of activities for scouts to choose what interests them. The troop is also very interested in STEM activities. (We have about 30 scouts.)
We have a New Scout Registration packet that gives you all the information you need about the fees, registration, medical forms, etc. Please feel free to look around our website to get a feel of our troop.
My Scouting is a good place to login and check your registration status for yourself (or your scout) and check your completed training. We do ask that each parent be registered with each scout to help with the troop and/or work with the scouts. Youth Protection Training is required for all BSA registered adults. Scouts at this level should have their own My Scouting account.
We welcome scouts to join the troop throughout the year.
Scout are encouraged to attend as often as possible but the troop does have expectations of 50% participation for members at meetings and events. BSA Scouts has a large focus on leadership for advancement. Patrol leaders are elected by the scouts. Other leadership positions may be requested by the scout and are assigned by the Senior Patrol Leader. Once assigned the position, scouts should work towards fulfilling those positions to the best of their abilities.
Let me know if you have any questions, difficulties with the registration, or if you would like to visit the troop prior to registration.
We look forward to meeting you!
YIS,
Membership Coordinator
