Philmont is Scouting's Ultimate High Adventure
Troop 4 sent 2 crews in 2021, one crew in 2024 and will return in 2027 with 2 crews plus a third bonus crew from Troop 232 in Ashland. After doing some cool things for a couple of days in Colorado Springs, we will make our way to Cimmaron, NM to start our 12 day trek. Once on the trail, Scouts will hike and enjoy activities along the way.
Scouts that are 14 and older on 7/26/2027 are eligible to go.
Estimated Cost for the trip is $3300.
Payment Schedule:
$150 due by 3/31/2026
$1,000 due by 9/15/2026 - $815 to Philmont
$1,900 due by 2/15/2027 - $815 to Philmont; Airfare; Deposits for WW Rafting, Hostel in CO springs & Coach
Remaining will be between $200 and $300 after all reservations have been finalized - due by June 15, 2027
No Travel Insurance is included in this cost. Purchase individually if desired.

- 7/24 - Fly out to Denver early am, Rent Vans to Tour CO Springs
- 7/24 pm & 7/25 - Tour Colorado Springs (WW Rafting, Garden of Gods, Pikes Peak Shuttle)
- 7/25 pm - Return vans to CO Springs Airport
- 7/26 - Travel to Philmont in private coach - afternoon orientation/pack
- 7/27 - On the trail
- 8/6 - Off the trail - celebration dinner, closing campfire
- 8/7 - Leave Philmont, private coach back to Denver and flight home
