Granåsen sports park is Trondheim's main arena for winter sports related to skijumping, cross country skiing and nordic combined. World cup competitions are held here annually. In the sports park you will find cross country ski tracks in the winter and roller ski tracks in the summer, biathlon arena, indoor training facilities, two indoor shooting ranges, a full sized indoor football field, two international ski jumping hills as well as a recruitment facility for younger ski jumping athletes, an activity park for kids, age is not a factor - and a great starting point for field trips.

Opening Hours


Cross country stadium

In Granåsen you will find a 5 km roller ski track summertime, and a starting point of endless ski tracks during the winter. Parts of the tracks will have produced snow from the end of November/early December all due to the weather. 

The lights are on from the onset of darkness until 23.00 o'clock every day, from October 1st til after Easter.

Ski jumping hill

In Granåsen sports park you have two international ski jumping hills with HS 105 and HS 138. They are re-built before the FIS nordic World Championship in February/March 2025.

The hills are now getting prepared for winter. Opening hours for the winter will come as soon as the hill is ready! 


All ski jumping requests should be sendt to booking@trondheim.kommune.no before friday at 11.00 the week before. 

Opening hours for the hill week 42:

Tuesday - Friday:
Session 1: 10.00-12.00
Session 2: 13.00-14.30

Training for teams outside of Trondheim will be charged NOK 670,- pr hr/team


Both arenas will be closed from February 21st 2025 - March 15th due to the FIS Nordic World Championship.

How to get to Granåsen sports park

We encourage everyone to use public transportation. See AtB's planner to see scheudle for the bus. Granåsen idrettspark are operated by line 23. This line can be combined with for example bus no. 2 or 3, depending on where your starting point is.

If you travel by car, we recommend that you park on "Store-P". It is free parking from Easter - January, and from January to Easter there is a parking fee on Saturdays and Sundays. You can read more about that here. It is also possible to park outside the arena building by the cross country stadium. Here, there is regulated parking for up to four hpurs, which is controlled by Trondheim Parkering. 

We always ecourage everyone to park safely and sparingly. All visitors are responsible for parking in such way that emergency vehicles can pass.
