As I’ve worked through my master’s program, my thinking about technology in education has taken on more depth. I’ve always believed that strong teaching starts with clear expectations, consistency, and intentionality. Those beliefs haven’t changed, but my understanding of how technology can support those foundations has grown.
Previously, I viewed technology mainly as something that could make certain tasks easier or more efficient. Over time, I began to see it as a tool that can enhance learning when it’s used with purpose. The coursework pushed me to think more critically about selecting tools that align with instructional goals, support different types of learners, and open up opportunities for students to engage in ways they might not otherwise.
I don't think technology should overshadow the core of good teaching, but it can strengthen it. It can promote independence and help create learning experiences that are more flexible. My goal is to keep things balanced. I rely on traditional practices when they support learning, and I bring in technology when it adds real value.
