#read2263

Join in the Summer fun with #read2263 at Three Rivers Local Schools!

We are excited about the new Three Rivers Summer initiative. The decision was made this year to eliminate summer homework District-wide. We want to create a healthy summer balance where students have time to unwind, rejuvenate, and refresh their mindset for the upcoming school year. However, research supports the need for reading throughout the year, including the summer months. To encourage our students to read during break, we are rolling out a preschool through twelfth-grade initiative called #read2263! Our current Three Rivers enrollment is 2,263 students. We want all 2,263 students to know their continued growth is important to us, so we want everyone to commit to reading (independently or with a parent) at least one age-appropriate book this summer.

We will have a send-off gift, hot spots throughout the community, "celebrity" readers, ways to track books read, Three Rivers Staff's favorite book choices, and... a gift for every student on the first day back if we meet our goal!

Please join us in sharing our reading success throughout the summer by sharing pictures of your books or your children reading books by using #read2263 if you are staying local or #read2263vacay if you are out of town - we would love to see all of the places your summer travel takes you.

Check out your school's page below for book recommendations from teachers and students.
