Our theme this year is "Joy in the Calling" based on Romans 15:13. Our hearts' desire is to provide a day where the people of our schools can come and celebrate the joy of our unique calling, sharpen our craft, and connect with each other. We do all this while keeping our eyes fixed on our Lord that by the power of the Holy Spirit we may abound in hope.
It is tempting to feel alone in our Calling. Yet the Lord encourages us to be joy-filled and find connection to others. To that end this conference will focus both on professional development as well as emphasize networking opportunities...and have a little fun along the way.
The conference will begin with worship together and then progress to a variety of professional development opportunities. These will include teacher led sectionals, sessions on the topic of artificial intelligence in the classroom, information share and networking through Ed Camp, and grade band/content area break outs. Your are welcome to bring your own device (laptop, Chromebook, etc) to try out some of the digital tools that will be shared.
This year's host school is Trinity Lutheran School in Bloomington, IL. You can click the link above to be connected to their website for directions to their facility. Or click here for a Google Map.

Our teacher sectional option includes two 45-minute sectionals, lead by a fellow educator, and based on various topics. During these times there will also be an opportunity to attend a session on AI tools for the classroom. Likewise, the gym will be set up for some fun activities, networking, and time to recharge. Participants are welcome to choose whichever sectional they would like to attend based upon space availability.
One focus of this conference is to connect people and share ideas. It is tempting to feel alone in a classroom or school--yet together we are stronger, we are smarter. There will be specific time set aside to discuss ideas, problems, policies, opportunities, challenges, celebrations, and our journey in ministry.
Your opinions will be gathered to help guide these conversations. We are excited at the opportunity to exchange both ideas and contact information. Likewise, the closing grade band/content area breakout has time built-in to send you out with a prayer partner for the year.
A Time for Joy!
There will also be time dedicated for networking and celebrating in the gym with refreshments, games, a 360 photo booth, and much more. We will close the day with a great devotion to send us back out into the harvest.
And don't forget, there will be door prizes after the closing devotion.
