Audition Dates:
4th and 5th Grade Auditions: Thursday, December 10, from 3:30-5:30 in the Parish Hall
Middle School Auditions: Wednesday and Thursday, December 4-5, from 3:30-5:30 in the Parish Hall (students should plan to attend both days)
You will need to learn the audition material before auditions, including part of a song, a scene, and a short dance combination. The material will be taught during our audition workshops:
4th and 5th Grades Audition Workshop: Thursday, December 4, from 3:30-5:30 in the Parish Hall
Middle School Audition Workshop: Friday, December 5, from 3:30-5:30 in the Parish Hall
The material will be briefly reviewed, but not taught, at auditions. Workshop attendance is optional, but highly recommended. You must be signed up to audition to attend the workshop.
Auditioning does not guarantee casting. If you are not well prepared for auditions, you may not be cast in the show.
4th and 5th grade students will need to prepare the following for auditions:
Singing: Students should learn "Where's My Dad?"
Acting: Students will be led through acting exercises at auditions to showcase their acting abilities. They should also be familiar with the scene below and prepared to read for any part. Students should focus on making strong but believable choices that show their character’s intentions and emotions, helping create an interesting and easy-to-understand performance. Students should also interpret the scene carefully by making sure they know what every word and stage direction means before they begin.
Dancing: Students should learn the combination to "Big Blue World." You must click "open in Google Vids to view the videos.

Acting: Students should be familiar with both scenes below and prepared to read for any part. Students should focus on making strong but believable choices that show their character’s intentions and emotions, helping create an interesting and easy-to-understand performance. Students should also interpret the scene carefully by making sure they know what every word and stage direction means before they begin.
