Know Christ + Grow in Christ + Make Christ Known
Know Christ + Grow in Christ + Make Christ Known
We create because God is THE creator and He made us in His likeness.
Every class session points to Jesus and has a clear Biblical foundation.
The child is the artist.
Made in God’s likeness, students explore the unique creativity that God has blessed them with.
The art room is their studio.
Once students have learned to care for and use materials, they can access them themselves.
Our essential question is: what do artists do?
We focus on eight ways that artists think and create, including exploring, observing, developing craft, envisioning, persisting, reflecting, and collaborating.
We create for God’s glory.
Always asking, "Jesus, how does this help me know, love, and need You?"
I grew up in Estes Park, CO on the border of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Jesus saved me when I was a sophomore at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, IA.
When I graduated from Cornell, I returned to CO and taught Kindergarten-5th grade art at Resurrection Christian School.
My now husband remained in IA, but God sustained our long-distance relationship and year-long engagement. We got married at the base of the Rocky Mountains in June 2024!
God called me to return to IA and orchestrated my position at Trinity Lutheran School. I am so excited to see what He has planned for my second year at Trinity!
A few of my favorite things...
Time outside: camping, hiking, paddle boarding
Time with family and friends: walks, warm drinks, board games, cooking, movies, audio books
Art: drawing, watercolor, mold making, paper casting, papermaking, bookmaking, journaling
