Meet Mrs. Hanisch 

I’m Amy Hanisch and I will be teaching general music to grades Pre-K through 3rd grade this year! I taught general music in the Cedar Rapids School District for 37 years at Grant Wood, Coolidge and West Willow. I am excited to get to know my new students and work with them in the areas of pitch matching in their singing voices as we work towards our Sunday Chapel services and Christmas concert; visual and aural rhythmic identification; circle movement activities/games with partners as we sing and play instruments and so much more!

Our music lessons will align with the National Standards as we CREATE, PERFORM, RESPOND AND CONNECT and will provide aural, visual and kinesthetic stimulation for all learning styles.
