•Key word on the front, definition on the back.
•If this is the question, what is the answer? – Cover over the key words, leaving only the definitions. Test yourself– can you remember the key words the answers are describing?
Topic in the middle of the page. Add key words using branches. Connect further branches to add more detail.
Read over one section of revision. Say it out loud. Cover it over. Write down what you can remember. Check through your answers.
Work with a partner or group. Take turns to talk for 1 minute on a set topic. You must talk with no pauses or hesitations. Everyone has three lives. Who will be the winner?
Revise some content. Test yourself using past exam papers. Self assess/mark these and add in anything you missed in purple pen.
Create/find a clock to use. Write a topic in each section. Decide how long to spend on each section. Spend that set amount of time writing key facts, drawings and points about each topic.
•Revision Notes Area: Record notes using revision materials. Keep as short and concise.
•Key Question Column: After making your notes, think of questions that the revision notes are the answers for.
•Summarise: Sum up each of your notes in a sentence or two or by recording a summary of key terms.
•Test yourself: Cover up the notes and use the questions you wrote to test yourself.
