Q1: Why is Trinity redesigning its website?
A: Trinity’s website is our most public digital touchpoint. To reflect the University's differentiators, we’re redesigning Trinity.edu to be more intuitive, accessible, and strategically aligned with a primary focus on prospective students, their families, and Trinity alumni. The site will emphasize audience-first design, clarity of content, and seamless digital journeys that support recruitment, engagement, and storytelling.
Q2: What is the goal of the website redesign?
A: The primary goal is to create a student-centered, mission-driven website that authentically reflects Trinity’s distinct identity and accomplishments while making it easier for visitors to take action—whether that’s applying, visiting, giving, or getting involved. The new site will simplify navigation, reduce confusion, and better support mobile use, accessibility, and long-term web and content governance.
Q3: What is the brand refresh, and how is it related to the website project?
A: The brand refresh is a visual and messaging update designed to help Trinity stand out in a competitive higher education landscape. It includes a refined visual identity and updated storytelling, all crafted to be bold, timeless, and true to Trinity’s mission. The website redesign will serve as the first and most visible launch point for the refreshed brand.
Q4: Why launch the redesigned website and refreshed brand at the same time?
A: The website is the most widely viewed expression of Trinity’s identity—the front door to our brand experience. Launching both the new website and refreshed brand together ensures that first impressions are aligned and consistently demonstrate Trinity's forward momentum and longstanding mission.
Q5: What is the timeline for this project?
A: The general timeline includes:
Spring–Summer 2025: Research, discovery, brand development
Fall 2025–Spring 2026: Design, build, and content implementation
August 2026: Launch of new website and refreshed brand
Phase details can be found on this microsite's homepage.
Q6: Who is leading the web redesign and brand refresh?
A: The two projects are led by Strategic Communications and Marketing in partnership with Mackey Strategies alongside our web development agency, ImageX Media, and our new web design agency, Fastspot. An Advisory Council of faculty and staff as well as students are providing input before and feedback at major milestones to ensure the final product reflects Trinity’s community and values.
Q7: How can I stay involved or give feedback?
A: This microsite will be updated regularly with progress reports, timelines, and opportunities to engage. You can also share your feedback anytime through our feedback form or reach out to web@trinity.edu. Campus listening sessions and targeted focus groups will also be scheduled throughout the project.
Q8: Will Trinity.edu still function during the redesign?
A: Yes. The current site will remain fully functional and continuously maintained while the new site is being designed and built. Any changes to access, tools, or timelines will be communicated clearly and in advance.
Q9: I frequently update content for my department/program/area on Trinity.edu. What will this process look like for me?
A: As part of the redesign, we’ll implement a library of reusable content components to make updates easier, more consistent, and accessible. We’ll offer training and support as we transition to the new system, and content editors will be involved at key points to ensure a smooth process. If you think you're one of these content contributors and you haven’t yet received direct communication about your next steps, please reach out to web@trinity.edu so we can get the conversation started.
