Trinity's previous QEP, Starting Strong: Intentional Strategies for Improving First-Year Student Success, aimed to improve first-year advising, teaching, and academic support at Trinity. We feel these impacts every day!
The Office of Academic Advising was created and Trinity shifted to a professional advising model for first- and second-year students.
A new Quantitative Reasoning and Skills (QRS) Center was formed, more peer tutors across disciplines were hired, and improvements were made at the Tiger Learning Commons (TLC).
Best practices were brought to introductory-level teaching by providing faculty pedagogical development opportunities and course revision grants, and by implementing an early grade alert system.
