The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) periodically reviews and updates its accreditation standards. As part of this process, SACSCOC has placed the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) in a “study period” through December 2026. While this study period affects QEP submission requirements for institutions under review in 2026, it does not impact Trinity.
Trinity remains fully committed to the purpose and principles of the QEP and strongly believes in its role in advancing student learning and student success. Although the future of the QEP is uncertain, we have chosen to continue moving forward with a meaningful QEP initiative that aligns with institutional priorities and supports continuous improvement.
In light of this study period, Trinity’s QEP committee has adjusted its timeline. During the 2026–27 academic year, the committee will focus on planning and piloting the selected project rather than preparing a formal report for SACSCOC. Full implementation of the project is anticipated to begin in the 2027–28 academic year.
Campus participation from faculty and staff remains essential to this work. You are invited to attend the pitch forum on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapman Center Auditorium. Your engagement is vital as we select a project that reflects our shared commitment to student success. Please RSVP using the link above.
The following QEP topics will be pitched at the forum:
Belonging Begins Here: A QEP for Real Connection in a Disconnected Age
Career Everywhere: Embedding Career Readiness Across the Student Experience
Finishing Stronger: Taking Care of the Middle Ground
Pathways to Purpose: Cultivating Vocation at Trinity
Work that Works: Creating Equitable and Developmental Student Employment
