Business and nonprofit organizations will submit short-term, remote projects to CELCS. After we have verified the opportunity, we will share it through the CELCS T-learn site. You may evaluate the different project needs and if interested, will follow the instructions outlined on T-learn to apply for the project(s) of interest.
After you have read about the program below, access the project list via TLearn: https://bit.ly/TigerWorks
No. Because these projects are project-based and short-term, they do not qualify as full internships. Some call these project-based experiences "micro-internships." Students will not be eligible to receive course credit for their work. If you think a project should qualify for credit, please email exl@trinity.edu before applying or moving forward. If you are seeking a traditional internship, please visit Handshake.
Not necessarily. We have asked organizations to consider paying students for the projects they complete when they are able. The focus of these opportunities is real-world experience that can help you develop or refine skills and competencies. On the project spreadsheet in T-learn, you will see whether or not the opportunity is paid. If you are in need of a paid opportunity or would like to pursue a traditional internship, please contact CELCS.
No. We will not be matching students with specific opportunities. Students who are interested in projects will apply according to the instructions outlined in T-learn and will not submit anything to our office.
All projects must be short-term in duration and able to be completed remotely. The specific requirements for each opportunity will be outlined on the CELCS T-learn site.
We understand students may not all have access to the technology needed from home. Do not let this stop you from considering projects. Please contact CELCS if this may apply so we may assist in identifying potential solutions.
Organizations have been asked to think creatively about needs they have and we anticipate a range of projects with organizations representing a variety of industries. Please check t-learn after 5/14 for more information.
Potential projects:
improving websites
developing business/marketing plans
conference or event planning
developing marketing materials
research/benchmarking
data management
social media and blog posting
editing/production for video or podcast series
content editors
developing training materials
There is no limit to the number of projects you can apply for. Because these are short-term and remote in nature, we anticipate that some students will be able and interested in completing more than one.
Yes! These projects can allow you to refine or develop skills and competencies in a number of areas in real-world settings. While they may not be internships, the experience is still valuable to future employers and can be represented on a resume or CV in different ways. If you have specific questions about your career path and how these projects may intersect, please contact CELCS.
Please email CELCS with any questions.
