Alpha Chi Lambda is a strong, selectively small community of unique, active, independent Trinity students. We are dedicated to celebrating our core values of individuality, respect, support, honesty, loyalty, unity, diversity, personal growth, pride, and social engagement. Our sorority embraces these principles and is committed to providing a safe and trusting environment through which each core value can be pursued and encouraged. We are determined to continue sorority traditions and high standards, as well as create new, innovative opportunities. As people of character, integrity, and sincerity, we are devoted to the pursuit of excellence and forever bound by our loyalty to Alpha Chi Lambda.

Alpha Chi Lambda was founded in 1998 at Trinity University. Our founding class was made up of a small group of enthusiastic, independent and diverse people, focused on creating a source of constant support, friendship, love and sisterhood among its members, without forcing them to sacrifice their individuality, diversity, or strength. Our founders were able to create this organization from the ground up, realizing their individual visions and implementing them in our organization. This has enabled us to develop strong friendships in which each woman is encouraged to pursue excellence, personal growth, and independence. We are dedicated to supporting the diverse interests of each Alpha Chi, the growth of our members and organization, as well as to the improvement of the Trinity University community. We strive to live by our motto Esse Quam Videri – to be, rather than to seem.
