One of the best ways to revise. test and build upon your knowledge is by doing Retrieval Practice. This means testing to see what you already know without notes.
This might be by using flashcards, doing mind maps from memory, or testing yourself. One other way of doing this is through knowledge organisers.
If you make a grid that covers all of a module's or topic's content, you can test what you know by filling it in from memory. You can then take another colour pen and add to it using your notes. This shows you what you know and what you need to work on!
Attached is an example from Psychology module, Psychopathology.
Practicing exam questions without notes, then marking it using the mark scheme is a great way to understand how to get marks in an exam. There are lots of past papers online, and exam style questions in most textbooks.
You can make flashcards on paper, but also online on websites such as Quizlet (they also have plenty of pre-made ones!)
Make sure you think about how you do them - think: short answer questions that you can easily test yourself from.
