In response to your amazing feedback from the Alpha version, we are delighted to introduce some exciting new features in the Beta release, most notably the Block Library and Region Hatching/Fill.
Block Library allows you to effortlessly create and oversee your blocks, enhancing your drawing capabilities.
Region Hatch/Fill enables you to apply hatching or fills to your drawings, adding depth and detail to your work.
Additionally, we've included the ability to create new drawings directly from Trimble Drive.

To sign up for the Trimble Drawing Beta you can use your Trimble Identity credentials and access to Trimble Connect and Trimble Drive.

Within Trimble drawing a File picker will surface connected to your own Connect account.
Here you can select an existing .dwg or .dxf, located in your Trimble Connect storage.
If you require an empty .dwg you can upload the following file within the file selector and use that to test Trimble Drawing.
To create a new file, follow these simple steps using Trimble Drive:
Open Trimble Drive by selecting "Open from Trimble Drive" from the hamburger menu.
You'll be directed to the Construction Cloud.
Navigate to your desired folder for the new drawing.
Click "New," and choose "New Trimble Drawing."
Once the Trimble Drawing opens, add a title and select your preferred template.
Congratulations! Your new drawing is now created.
Familiarize yourself with the different components of the Trimble Drawing interface, including the toolbar, command line, drawing canvas, properties panel, and navigation tools. Understanding these elements will help you navigate and interact with your drawings effectively.
To navigate Trimble Drawing effectively, you will primarily utilize the Pan and Zoom functionalities. For panning, simply use the middle mouse button, while the scroll wheel allows you to zoom in and out of the canvas.
By default, the selection tool is active, enabling you to easily access it with the left mouse button. This allows you to select and manipulate objects within the Trimble Drawing interface.

The Trimble Drawing properties panel is a crucial component of the software, enabling you to edit elements and customize them according to your requirements. It provides convenient options to modify colors, weights, and various other aspects based on the element type.
To access the properties panel, simply click on the bottom-right button located on the status bar.
Utilize the layers panel to organize your drawing by separating different elements onto individual layers. You can control the visibility and edibility of each layer, helping you manage complex drawings more efficiently.
The layers panel also allows you to easily specify color, style and line weight for the elements in that layer.
To access the layers panel, simply click on the button located on the left side of the status bar.
Efficiently organize your sheets by grouping them and creating new sheets tailored to your specific size, units, and specifications. This allows you to maintain a well-structured workflow and ensures that your sheets are customized to meet your exact needs.
