Camps hosted by local therapy (Speech, OT, PT) clinics:
4 Social Skills Camp Options:
Pre-K thru Kindergarten
Elementary
Teen
AAC Device (all ages)

TEAM Camp includes 3 therapies- OT, PT, and Speech in rotations
Once or twice a week
Age Range: 3-11 years old (preschool-5th grade), split into 2 age groups
*FREE* program offered to all Wayne County Students involved in special education, ages 14 to 21.
Focuses on vocational training, on-site job exploration, self-advocacy, and socialization.
Open ALL levels of students on IEPs (not just those who are served by the Board of DD).
June 9th -- July 10th Mon.–Thurs., 8:15am–1pm
*Lunch provided
*Transportation provided if needed
All overnight camps (no day camp options)
Located in Perrysville, Ashland County
Ages 6-8: Nuhop Jr. Camp (half week)
Ages 8-18: Traditional Camp (full week)
-Also a half-week "mini camp" option for ages 9-12
Hiking, camping, swimming, canoeing, ropes course, crafts, and activities
"Serving children with neurodiversities, including learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, autism spectrum disorders as well as their “typical” peers."
Summer Sports for Athletes with Disabilities:
Special Olympics athletes must be at least 8 years old and have a developmental disability.

Dream Camp- a weekend of adaptive sports and recreation! During this overnight camp, participate in Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Softball, Kayaking, Swimming, Track, High Ropes, Games, Campfire, and more!
Date: July 25th-27th. 2025
Where: Recreation Unlimited, 7700 Piper Rd, Ashley, OH 43003
Who: Youth with physical disabilities, aged 7-18. Students enrolled in high school that are 18 or older are also eligible to participate.
Cost: $200.00 (includes lodging and food); Limited number of camperships are available - please email director@adaptivesportsohio.org to be considered.

All applications must be submitted by June 27, 2025 and include full payment. When completing registration, be prepared to enter medical information (medications, prior injuries, tetanus booster date, etc.)
Everyone Plays Camp- A *FREE* five week summer adaptive sports camp featuring lots of sports, games and fun!

Early Childhood Play Groups (Drop-in, no weekly/monthly commitment)
Wayne/Ashland County Board of DD Early Intervention Playgroups: Monthly playgroups held at Ida Sue School (Wayne County Board of DD) 10-11:30am. Dates and information are shared on their Ashland/Wayne Early Intervention Facebook page.
Holmes County Board of DD Play Groups: The Holmes County Early Intervention and Learning Bridge programs are pleased to offer monthly playgroups at the Holmes County Board of DD. These playgroups are open to the public, and all children 16 months to 5 years of age are encouraged to attend.

EJ Therapy Play Groups (Wooster and Canal Fulton) EJ’s gym will be open for play! Each session will include a short, structured acctivity followed by child-led free play. Play sessions will be supervised by a skilled therapist who will be available to guide children in play. Parents are encouraged to stay in the gym and play! Open to all children aged preschool-6 years old. Offered weekly, every Friday 10-11am, $12 per week. Click the link above or call 330-262-44449.
