As part of the EMS team, you will be trained in vehicle and related radio operations. Responsibilities include assisting EMR’s and EMT’s in patient preparation and transport to the appropriate medical facility. Minimum age 21 with 5 years clean driving record, passing of physical and passing of classroom and on-road course training required. You will be encouraged to achieve EMR status.
As part of the EMS team, you will be trained as a prehospital care provider with the basic level of certification. TCEMS membership plus passing of State EMR course, plus State written and practical tests required. State EMR course offered locally when possible.
As part of the EMS team, you will be trained and certified to appraise and initiate the administration of emergency care for victims of trauma or acute illness before or during transport of the victims to the appropriate medical facility via vehicle or aircraft. TCEMS membership plus passing of national EMT course, plus national written and practical tests required. National EMT course offered locally when possible.
