What is SkillsUSA?
SkillsUSA is a national organization that helps students learn important job skills through competitions and training in various trades, such as graphic design, welding, cooking, film, and automotive work. It provides a chance for students to showcase what they’ve learned, gain hands-on experience, and prepare for careers in technical fields. Plus, it emphasizes teamwork and leadership, helping students build confidence and valuable skills for their future.
In 2020, Treutlen County CTAE (Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education) launched a local chapter of SkillsUSA, which has grown steadily each year since. The students compete in state-wide skilled contests, attend teamwork and leadership-building events, sponsor local school and community events, and do volunteer work through various activities throughout the year.

Any THS student in grades 9-12 can join our Treutlen chapter of SkillsUSA. Dues are $15, and you can join online (use code R9668) or get a form from Mrs. Alison in room, 703. We love making new friends and making great memories together - from competitions and field trips to the printshop and school and community events!
