Trellis Impact is committed to evolving the conference model, traditionally based largely on passive listening, to one that is interactive and action-oriented — enabling participants meaningful moments to connect with one another and engage more deeply with the content.
We couldn't do this without the support of thoughtful, dedicated moderators. Thank you for supporting Trellis Impact in becoming the best it can be.
Arrange a Prep Call: Communicate and schedule a prep call with the other speakers. (A member of the Trellis team can help connect you.) Start looking for a date about a month in advance — schedules can be tough.
Lead on Session Development: In coordination with your fellow speakers, determine the flow of your session as best fits the story you're telling. Have a look at your session format in advance, and come with ideas.
Ensure Alignment: Share follow-on materials in advance of the session.
Create a Title Slide: Create a title slide that includes the session title and details about all speakers, using the template provided on the session page of our website.
Consider Using Additional Visuals: Slides are optional but can be effective. If you choose to use them, ensure all slides are on one computer for day of presentation.
Bring a laptop with HDMI capability (or adaptor) to connect to the monitors provided in the breakout rooms.
Upload your slides: Use this form to upload your slides so we can share them with attendees.
Interactive Elements: Think about incorporating elements to keep the audience engaged.
If you need assistance while on-site, you can visit our help desk near registration or contact Jessica Coons at 352-874-4161 (call/text/WhatsApp)
If you have A/V issues while in your breakout room, please alert the volunteer assigned to your room.
Ensure panel participants are not too close to the speakers inside of the breakout room while holding a mic to avoid audio issues.
