We are the office that provides technical legal support to the other units of the agency. Handles the internal legal affairs of the agency and, in collaboration with other government agencies, external legal matters affecting the agency. We are composed of lawyers, technical and administrative personnel.Â
Our MandateÂ
We provide legal advice and opinion to the agency on matters involving statutes, laws, rules and regulations affecting the Bureau or the Treasurer of the Philippines in court litigation; take legal action against violators of Treasury regulations; handle the escheat of dormant accounts with banks pursuant to existing laws; and conduct investigation and hearing of administrative cases filed against Treasury personnel. (Section 2.1.1, Executive Order No. 449, s. 1997)
We also perform other duties and responsibilities as may be required by management policy from time and time.
