Tarver-Rendon Elementary PTA is excited to announce our newest program the Dads & Dudes Club.  Research shows that when fathers and father figures are engaged in children’s education, student grades and test scores improve, attendance increases and students are more involved in school activities. Father involvement is associated with children’s better socio-emotional and academic functioning. Active and regular father engagement with children impacts a range of positive outcomes, including enhancing cognitive development and decreasing delinquency and poverty in low socioeconomic families.

We are excited to welcome dads and other male influences onto campus this year to make an impact on our students.  We are starting off by forming our "Friday Welcome Crew".  This will be a volunteer opportunity for members of our Dads and Dudes Club to help welcome students to school in the car line and our bus and walk-up students.  

All volunteers must have a current MISD background check on file.  This application must be completed every school year.  (Click here to complete the required background check).  Make sure you select "Rendon Elementary".
