We have introduced a new activity called “Minds in Motion.” middle and/or high school starting February 2026.
As part of our regular monthly Heart Circles, these movement-based sessions with students will focus on body wellbeing.
The goal is to help students better understand how the mind and brain work together, and to teach them practical, age-appropriate strategies they can use both at school and at home to improve focus and emotional regulation.
Over 37 school weeks, we’ll explore different areas of wellbeing:
Morning Connection time:
🌸 Inner Wellbeing
Caring for our mental and emotional health through topics about inner critics, growth mindset, mindfulness and gratitude.
🤝 Relationships
Exploring our relationship with ourselves and its connection with our relationship with others.
💪 Body and Physical Wellbeing
Building and maintaining healthy habits to feel energetic, healthy, and balanced.
📚 Learning Wellbeing
Reflect on study habits, learning strategies and explore the topic of time management and procrastination.
🌟 Future Wellbeing
Developing actionable plans towards setting goals, career exploration and developing skills.
Daily End-of-Day: GMKR Circle: G - Gratitude, M - Mistakes, K - Kindness, R - Responsibility
🧡 One thing I’m grateful for
💬 One mistake I made (with self or someone else)
🌱 One kind thing I did
💦 One thing I can repair tomorrow
Your heart is your strength - it helps you stay brave, kind, and true to yourself. By connecting "The Power of My Heart" to your inner wellbeing, relationships, physical health, learning, organization, and future readiness, you can create balance and build a strong foundation for growth in all areas of your life.
Starting this school year the day will start and end with a moment of connection and with structured curriculum and activities aiming to contribute to everyone's wellbeing in TC community. The activities are simple and varied—short games, reflection questions, small group chats, videos, or moments of calm. Together, they help you and your students build confidence, resilience, and a sense of community. They are designed to be short (5 minutes each morning), engaging, and meaningful. They give students a chance to pause, think, share, and connect—helping them feel ready for the day ahead.

The project was a great success. Several international schools participated and joined the final events:
We are grateful to each of you for being part of this edition of Mental Health Day celebration. Over the two sharing meetings, it was truly inspiring to see how much thought, care, and creativity went into your contributions.
To all the teachers and colleagues – thank you for the energy, support, and openness you brought into this project.
To all the students – thank you for your honesty, creativity, and the meaningful way you shared your voices. You reminded us why it’s so important to talk about mental health and support one another.
Together, we created a warm and supportive space where everyone felt seen and heard — and that’s something to be proud of.

Transylvania College will lead the 10th October 2025 World Mental Health Day Joint project for the ISA Schools.

World Mental Health Day, which is supported by the United Nations (UN), is annually held on October 10 to raise public awareness about mental health issues worldwide. This event promotes open discussions on illnesses, as well as investments in prevention and treatment services.
Becoming empathetic, internationally-minded, and aware of the diversity of cultures and points of view that the world entails cannot be reached only through a structured curricula.
Along with the United Nations, ISA inspires projects from UN special dates to commemorate them in more than a single date by giving children voice and choice; joining a project means giving them the chance to be, the chance to give and receive, the opportunity to experience the world despite all barriers and, as a result, we’ll have young adults that have learned to understand that the world trascends their community and own traditions.
What is a daily private victory?
The daily private victory - time routinely spent each day renewing body, mind, heart, and spirit - is the key to developing all of the 7 Habits.
Stephen Covey's metaphor of the Emotional Bank Account is a proactive way to establish a foundation of trust. This idea describes relationships just like bank accounts. All relationships start with a neutral balance in the account, and allows for deposits and withdrawals.
We build trust with others by making consistent deposits in the Emotional Bank Account. Deposits can come in many forms, such as showing kindness and consideration, being honest and transparent, and following through on commitments.
Our default tendency is to try to get our point across. In doing so, we may ignore the other person completely, pretend that we're listening, or focus on the words and miss the meaning.
Habit 5 is the habit of listening to other people's ideas and feelings. It's trying to see things from their viewpoints. I listen to others without interrupting. It's about being confident in voicing your ideas.
Step 1: Pay attention.
Step 2: Repeat and ask clarifying questions.
Step 3: Empathise.
Step 4: Rephrase their content and how they feel.
Step 5: Act based on the situation.
