About the Instructors


Dr. Nicole Harris

Dr. Nicole Harris has a Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP), Certified Rehabilitation Provider (CRP), Human Service -  Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP), and Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH).

Dr. Harris' area of expertise include counseling divorcees, post-incarcerated women, those with depression, and/or anxiety, and adolescents dealing with ADHD, ODD and other mental disorders.  She specializes in substance abuse and women's issues such as women in high positions coping with a demanding lifestyle.  Educating the community about mental disorders and getting the help they need is also an essential part of her profession

Dr. Harris' primary approach is Reality Therapy, a well-established and researched approach to treating addictions, emotional, and behavioral issues.  She also utilizes Person-Centered and Emotionally Focused Therapy.  In addition to these more traditional approaches, she incorporates Complementary and Alternative approaches such as Mindfulness, and Holistic.

Dr. Harris is a Registered Supervisor with the Virginia Board of Counseling.  She is registered to supervise LPC residents, LMFT residents, and CSAC supervisees.


Ms. Cherelle Baylor

Ms. Cherelle Baylor graduated from Norfolk State University in 2021 with a Master of Arts in Urban Education with Mental Health Counseling. Ms. Baylor is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) that operates from a place of compassion and empathy that cultivates an environment to encourage clients to openly express their thoughts/feelings so that they can work collaboratively to focus on setting goals, identifying feelings and patterns, developing healthy/positive attitudes and behaviors, and problem solving.

Ms. Baylor's specialties include mood disorders, women's issues, and LGBTQIA related concerns.  In addition, she offers services on an array of topics such as depression, trauma, anxiety, PTSD, as well as life transitions and other obstacles.

As a clinician , Ms. Baylor utilizes an integrative approach with a concentration in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Currently Ms. Baylor works as an outpatient clinician and complete assessments for community-based agencies.
