My Name is  Shannon Benson and I have been involved in Music for most of my entire life.  I grew up in nearby Balaton and attended college at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.   I started out playing the piano at the age of 4 and was accompanying at school and church by the time I was in 7th grade.  I have also taught private piano lessons for over 30 years in my home studio, along with playing organ at 2 local churches.   I started teaching Elementary Music here at Tracy Elementary back in 2016.  I also taught part-time music at St. Mary's School  in Tracy for 2 years prior to that.  My husband Roger is a MS Science Teacher at Round Lake Brewster Public Schools.  My son Brock, his wife Ashley and their daughter Hazel live in Luverne, Minnesota where Brock is a computer programmer and web designer.  My daughter Kallie and her Finance Andrew are both Pilots at Sun Country Airlines in the Twin Cities.   I love anything music, especially attending concerts of all kinds, and traveling with my family.
