Welcome to Tracy Area Elementary Title I Math! Students practice math skills to become improved math thinkers. I meet with students in Kindergarten through 6th grade several times a week throughout the school year. We work in small groups that allow students to ask questions, try new strategies, and improve math reasoning.
What Is Title I Math?
Title I Math is a federally funded program offered at Tracy Elementary for all students in our school who show through assessments that they are working below grade level in math. Parents are notified that their student will be receiving this additional help.
Students receive Title I services in the Title I Math room for 20 minutes per day (depending on their classroom schedule). Student progress is monitored bi-weekly and goals are adjusted to meet their needs more closely.
Along with providing assistance for students as they are working to improve math skills, a goal of our program is to create and continue a partnership between school and families.
