Most organization-level configuration is located under Settings > Organization > General.

4. Choose the User or Group the Auto Disposition email will appear to come from.
5. Assign Follow Up Dates to Cases.
6. Select Save.
Use Announcements to display a colored banner on user Dashboards.
1. Open the Announcements tab.
2. Create the message you want users to see.
3. Choose the banner type.
4. Save the announcement.
Note: Information banners are blue, success banners are green and warning banners are yellow.
Use IP Whitelisting to control access to SAFE by approved IP address.
1. Open the IP Whitelisting tab.
2. Specify the IP addresses that should be allowed to access the SAFE site.
This option supports organizations that use an on-premise file server for media files such as body camera video or hard drive images.
Note: The source content states that 250GB of cloud storage is included per CAL and that organizations using an on-premise file server are responsible for backing up that data.
1. Open Allowed Media File Extensions.
2. Add the media file types users should be allowed to upload.
3. Remove file extensions that users should not be allowed to upload.
Use Field Settings to hide Case, Item or Person fields your organization does not use.

Create custom forms and fields for Cases, Items, Persons or Users.
1. Go to Tools > Custom Data (Forms).
2. Select Add.

4. From the Palette, select the + for the field you want to add to the Canvas.
5. Select the wrench icon to configure the field.
6. Use Properties to change the Display Name.
7. If using a Select List, use Options to add or remove choices.
8. Use Validation and select Required if users must complete the field before proceeding.
Attach a custom form to the applicable Cases, Item Categories, Person types or Users.
1. Go to Settings > Organization > Fields & Forms Settings.
2. Open the appropriate Required Case, Item, Person or User Forms tab.
3. Select the Form you want to attach.
4. Choose the applicable Cases, Item Categories, Person types or Users.
5. Select Save Changes.
Configure which available values appear in dropdown lists.
1. Open the appropriate tab for Case Offense Types, Item Categories, Person Types, Media or Notes Categories.
2. Select the values under Available Options.
3. Use the single right arrow to move them to Options in Use.
4. Select Save Changes before switching tabs.
Configure transaction options, verification settings and expected return date notifications.
1. For Checkout Reasons, Custody Reasons and Disposal Methods, open the applicable tab.
2. Move the desired values from Available Options to Options in Use.
3. Select Save Changes before switching tabs.
4. For Verification Settings, select the checkboxes for transaction types that should require verification.
5. For Expected Return Date Notifications, select Edit and turn Auto Notification On.
6. Set the Days Expired value.
Note: When verification is enabled for a transaction type, the source content states that an email and Task are generated asking the user to verify the action.
Use Offices when you need to segment users or data.
1. Go to Settings > Offices.
2. Create Offices before adding users when possible.
3. If users already exist, go to Settings > User Admin.
4. Select the Users and choose Actions > Set Permissions to update Office-based permissions.

2. Open the Permissions box for the Group.
3. Check or uncheck permissions to define what the Group can access.
User Groups are useful when assigning Tasks to multiple users and when using Auto Disposition.
1. Select Add to create a User Group.
2. Enter the Group Name and Description.
3. Save the Group.
4. Select the Group and add Users.

2. Select Add.
3. Enter the User information and assign the User to an Office.
4. Select OK.
5. Use the Permissions Matrix to choose the Offices the User belongs to and the permissions they have for each Office.
Workflows can send alerts based on Case or Item activity.
1. Go to Settings > Workflows.
2. Select Add and enter a Name.
3. Attach the Workflow to Cases or Items.
4. Assign the Users who should receive the alert and choose how they should be notified.
5. Choose when the Workflow should execute.
6. Choose which records to use.
7. Add Filter Criteria as needed.
8. Select Save.
1. Go to Tools > Storage Locations.
2. Select Add Storage Locations and create the top-level locations for the Office.
3. To assign permissions, select the checkbox beside the Storage Location.
4. Select Edit Selected Storage Locations.
5. Use the Groups field to choose the Permission Groups that can access the location.
6. Select Save.
7. To create nested locations, select the blue + on the applicable Storage Location row.
Users with the appropriate permissions can customize reports in Report Builder.
1. Go to Tools > Report Builder.
2. Modify the report HTML as needed.
Note: This requires the appropriate permissions and knowledge of HTML.
Use a Inventory Report to perform an inventory check.
1. Go to Tools > Inventory Report.
2. Enter a Report Name.
3. Scan a Storage Location barcode.
4. Scan the Items for the Report.
Note: Discrepancy Reports have been renamed Inventory Reports. The terminology has been updated, but the training content remains applicable.
Use Random Audits to verify whether selected Items are in their expected locations.
1. Go to Tools > Random Audits.
2. Enter a Name for the Random Audit.
3. Choose criteria such as Item Category.
4. Choose a percentage or number of Items to audit.
5. Locate the displayed Items and scan their barcodes.
6. Run the Report.
