STEM

(Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)

During the first term of school, children from 2nd class up to 6th class were selected to take part in groups completing STEM project work. Our 2nd and 3rd class students were developing their STEM skills by using our Lego WeDo 2.0 sets to create different moving parts whilst our 4th Class students worked on their own national engineering projects. Our 6th Class students were busy using Tinkercad, an online 3D modelling program, to design and develop different projects to be printed using a 3D printer.

Here is just a snippet of some of the amazing work that went on during that time.

5/6 Class - Keychains project.mov

Our 5th and 6th Class groups used an online program called Tinkercad to create and design their own 3D keychains. After finishing their designs, we used a 3D printer to print out their keychains in full. You can see how creative our students are with their fantastic designs!

Keep an eye out for our next 3D modelling project!
