Our Vision, Our Mission, Our Values!
Is to provide sustainable resources to homeless, underserved communities, and Title 1 schools throughout Metro Atlanta and California. We follow the “no questions asked” policy, contributing to our mission to feed and provide services to anyone in need, regardless of their age, gender, background, beliefs, nationality, sexual preferences, or circumstances.
Our vision is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by serving communities, expanding our offerings, and increasing access to sustainable resources. We aim to eliminate homelessness and hunger by addressing the Social Determinants of Health, SDoH and risk factors through the Community - Based Preparatory Research Model.
Founded in 2018 by Dr. Shalika Tisinger, The Prodigal Son Soup Kitchen Inc. began by offering meals, clothing, school supplies, job placement, housing referrals, and assistance with Medicaid/Medicare and SNAP enrollment throughout Metro Atlanta. In 2024, the organization expanded to California and launched a research division focused on creating data-driven solutions for sustainable support. Today, we effectively address both immediate needs and systemic issues through our dual-focused approach.
