You never know what someone might be going through or what challenges they might be facing. When we treat others with kindness we are giving ourselves and others a chance to grow into something amazing!

High Five Friday has become a weekly tradition at McClure Elementary. Each Friday a group of community members comes to school to greet students on their way into school. It's a great way to end the week and everyone starts their day with a smile. If you're interested in volunteering please e-mail me at khight@tps501.org to get on the schedule.
About me
I love being a school counselor! Previously I was a classroom teacher and taught K, 4th, 5th and 6th grades. My husband and I have lived in Topeka for over 20 years! We met at K-State and are still big Wildcat fans. We have two children. Our son Cooper is now a student at K-State majoring in News and Sports Media. Our daughter Campbell attends Washburn Rural High school and loves debate . Splash is our dog and McClure's professional therapy dog. Check out her page for fun pictures of Splash and our family.
