Hello!
I am the Chair and a part of the wonderful Topeka High Art Department at Topeka High! Currently, my schedule is made up of teaching Digital Photography 1, Digital Photography 2, and Digital Photography 3 (Media Tech Workplace Experience), and AP Photography.
I have been teaching since the 2012/13 school year. All of which have been here at Topeka High.
My education comes from Washburn University. I graduated from there with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in May of 2007 with a personal focus of Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture. I then went back to get my Art Education license and received it in December of 2008. After this, I was the ArtLab Supervisor for the Mulvane Art Museum located on Washburn University's campus. I worked there until I received my job at Topeka High. While being at Topeka High I have also gone back to school to get my Master's in Education from Baker University.
While not teaching, my free time is usually taken up by being a loving family man to my wife and 2 awesome kiddos. My hobbies include being a geek...but honestly that is more of a way of life for me; whether it be comic books, or Dungeons & Dragons. When not participating in geekly matters I also enjoy going to the gym and play disc golf, weather permitting of course.
