Read&Write

Texthelp (same company that created EquatIO) has created a tool called Read&Write for Chrome. It is an extension that you can download from the Chrome Web Store.

Read&Write for Google Chrome provides comprehensive reading and writing supports for Google Docs and the web as well as PDFs, ePubs, and KES files stored in Google Drive. Tools like talking and picture dictionaries and a translator to support struggling readers or English Language Learners.

There is both a free version and a premium version of Read&Write. While the premium version is available for teachers to use (if you signed up at the texthelp website), the yearly subscription fee for student accounts is $99. The free version provides text to speech and dual highlighting (yellow and blue) for any text on any website.
