EdPuzzle

EdPuzzle allows teachers to make interactive video lessons for students. Students can watch videos safely as an educational resource. Teachers can embed questions or commentary into the videos. Free accounts only allow users to have an inventory of 20 videos.

Classes can be created by importing students from Google Classroom or manually by sharing a link or code. Teachers can assign videos to students and not allow them to skip through the video, but require them to watch the entire thing. There is also a gradebook where you can see how the students scored on the questions. Edpuzzle offers three types of questions/comments: open-ended questions, multiple-choice questions and comments. You can check the responses to the questions for a class. The gradebook also lets the teacher know how long it took the student to watch the video and complete the questions.

EdPuzzle is a free assessment-centered tool that allows teachers and students to create interactive online videos by embedding either open-ended or multiple-choice questions, audio notes, audio tracks, or comments on a video. Videos can come from YouTube, Kahn Academy, Learn Zillion, Crash Course, or you can upload your own video and manipulate the portion that you need. You can select a small segment of the video for students to view and answer questions on. Teachers can also adjust the settings on the video so students can't rush through it or try to answer questions without watching it. It is a great tool for remote or distance learning.
