ON THE DAY
Timings
Please meet by the school hall by 8.30am
We will leave school around 9.00am
The first round of games starts at approximately 9.30am and the last round finished by 2pm.
Teams play 3-4 games throughout the day
Depending on each teams draw, we arrive back at school between 1.30pm – 2.30pm
Team Management
While there will be a teacher present, for parents that are able to stay, help is required to with organising the teams for example, helping them get their belts & tags sorted, making sure they are at the right place at the right time, helping kids substitute during games etc.
Games/Draw
We generally find out the draw the day before – this will be sent to parents as soon as we know.
Cancellation/Postponement
If the fields are open then the tournament is generally played.
The school is only notified of cancellation at 8am morning of the tournament.
If cancelled the kids just have a normal day at school and the back-up day is the following week.
Food/Clothing
We are a water only school so learners will be required to follow the school guidelines on all sports trips.
The learners seem to spend all day eating, so lots of snacks are good.
A named drink bottle is essential
Bring appropriate clothing for the weather conditions on the day.
