Installation of the New Flag Pole!
We are excited to announce that crews will be coming this weekend to install a new flagpole! We are thankful to the Moffits for their generous donation! No more bent pole!
Spring cleaning to prep a space for this year's fun escape room activity! For the past decade, Forest Lake (Morrish Cabin) has been used as a dumping ground for unused furniture, giving local wildlife an undisturbed playground to build their nests and cozy homes for winter. They received an eviction notice because we will need this space to create an out-of-this-world escape room! ( I apologize, I forgot to take pictures before to show the floor-to-ceiling stacks of furniture that were removed.)
Stay tuned for the transformation!
Unfortunate finds.
The sorting process.
Rehoming the furniture that still has life!
Almost finished!
Don't those mattresses look inviting? (Don't worry, they were hauled off!)
Reed egar to move some junk!
Thanks to Bekah and Jazmine for their help with the heavy lifting!
Spring 2026 Update:
2026 has proved to be a challenging year for our water system. The first sign of trouble came during Winter Camp, when we discovered vandalism at our water treatment building and at the main spring that supplies the camp's water. Unfortunately, we don't have leads on who was responsible for this event, but Ryan was able to get it fixed and cleaned out just in time to greet our campers (Praise the Lord!).
Oh, the joys of aging pipes:
Other water troubles were discovered this winter. The sewer line froze and bubbled to the surface, and a water line cracked in several locations, probably due to the lack of snow (insulation) and freezing conditions.
Celebrating one year of electricity at camp!
