2023年7月10日（月）、東洋大学白山キャンパス スカイホールにて講演「CSV経営に挑む地方発スタートアップ」を実施しました。

本講演では群馬県館林市でオリーブを栽培し、その製品を開発・販売している株式会社ジャングルデリバリー代表取締役社長 三田英彦氏をお迎えしました。当日は会場42名、オンライン13名の合計55名（うち留学生32名）が参加しました。

講演開始早々に、三田氏は「もし、あなたが大分県に移住し、起業することになったら何をしますか？」という質問を参加者全員に投げかけました。東京在住の学生、特に留学生の多くにとってはなじみの薄い大分県という地域にもかかわらず、様々な意見が出され、非常に活発な雰囲気で講演がスタートしました。

その後、群馬県館林市で展開するオリーブ事業とCSV（Creating Shared Value）経営に焦点を当て、地方発スタートアップとしての取り組みについて魅力的な洞察を提供しました。具体的には、耕作放棄地の利活用、農商工連携、農福連携、官民連携、食のリサイクル・ループなどの活動を通して、地域の雇用創出や地域経済の発展と地域住民の暮らしの質向上に貢献することを強調されました。さらに、環境に配慮した農業の実践や地域の持続可能性に貢献する取り組みについても紹介されました。

講演の最後に三田氏は「あなたはマーケッターとして館林市に派遣され、ジャングルデリバリーをサポートすることになりました。あなたならどうやって売り上げに貢献しますか？」という課題を提起しました。参加者からは日本人学生も留学生も、学生目線から、自身の出身国や地域の事例をもとに多様な意見が出されました。本学で学んだ知識や経験、学生それぞれの持つ視点が、地方ビジネスに新たな影響をもたらす可能性が示されたのではないかと思います。

本講演は、群馬県館林市でのオリーブ事業とCSV経営について示唆に富むものでした。留学生と日本人学生がともに学び、積極的な意見交換が行われたことは非常に貴重な活動でした。今回の講演に参加してくれた皆さんが、将来的には地方創生に繋がるアントレプレナーになってくれることを期待しています。

On Monday, July 10, 2023, a lecture entitled “A Local Startup Engaging in CSV Management”was held at Skyhall, Hakusan Campus, Toyo University.

As the lecturer, we invited Mr. Hidehiko Mita, President and CEO of Jungle Delivery Co., Ltd.,which cultivates olives and develops and sells olive products in Tatebayashi City, Gunma Prefecture.
A total of 55 students (including 32 international students) participated in the lecture,including 42 students on site and 13 students online.

At the beginning of the lecture, Mr. Mita asked all the participants,"What would you do if you moved to Oita Prefecture and started a business?"Despite the fact that many students living in Tokyo, especially international students,are unfamiliar with Oita Prefecture, various opinions were expressed, and the lecturestarted in a very lively atmosphere.

After that, Mr. Mita focused on the olive business and CSV (Creating Shared Value) management inTatebayashi City, Gunma Prefecture, and provided fascinating insight into the efforts of a local startup.In particular, he stressed contribution to the creation of local jobs, development of the local economyand improvement of local residents’ quality of lifethrough various activities, including utilization of abandoned farmlands, agriculture-commerce-industry collaboration, agriculture-welfare collaboration,public-private collaboration and creation of a food recycling loop.

In addition, he introduced environmentally friendly agricultural practices and initiatives that contribute to sustainability of the region.

At the end of the lecture, Mr. Mita raised the question,
"You have been dispatched to Tatebayashi City  as a marketer to support Jungle Delivery.
How would you contribute to sales growth?" Both international and Japanese students offered a variety
of opinions from their own perspective as a student, based on cases from their own countries and regions.

That shows, we believe, the possibility that the knowledge and experience they acquired at Toyo University,as well as the perspectives of each student, will have new impacts on local businesses.

The lecture was full of suggestions on the olive business and CSV management in Tatebayashi City, Gunma Prefecture.
In the lecture, international and Japanese students studied together and proactively exchanged opinions,which was an invaluable opportunity for them.

We hope that everyone who participated in this lecture will become entrepreneurs who will contribute to regional revitalization in the future.
