BNERC: Active collaboration on advanced research and educational programmes with Sultan Qaboos University
The Bio-Nano Electronics Research Centre (BNERC) and the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary New Science (IdNS) exchanged the Letter of Understanding on “Advanced Research and Educational Programmes” with the College of Science, Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Sultanate of Oman, in October 2014.
SQU recognised the results obtained through the collaborative programmes for the past year as the “Most Impressive Outcome” among their overseas universities. SQU invited Professor Toru Maekawa (Director, BNERC), Dr Takashi Uchida (Researcher, BNERC) and Mr Hiroshi Akasu (Chief, Research Promotion Office) to discuss the future plan of the collaborative programmes with HE Ali Soud Al-Bemani(Vice-Chancellor) and HH Dr Mona Al Said (International Office). They also discussed the initiation of the “Joint Degree Programmes” for Master and Doctoral students.
Professor Toru Maekawa and Dr Takashi Uchida gave Plenary Lectures at the International Chemistry Conference on Recent Trends in Drug Development (RTDD15) organised by SQU.
