BNERC: “Fellow” awarded by the Indian JSPS Alumni Association

Professor Toru Maekawa, Director of the Bio-Nano Electronics Research Centre, was awarded the “Fellow” by the Indian JSPS Alumni Association.

“The International Conference on Contemporary Advances of Science and Technology” was held from 7th to 9th August 2015 in Varanasi, India. At the Opening Ceremony, Dr. Motoyuki Fujii, the Vice-Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan, awarded the “Fellow” to Professor Maekawa.

Professor Maekawa was awarded the “Fellow” for his great contribution to the progress of advanced research and education in India. He is the first Japanese recipient of the “Fellow”.

Dr. Takashi Uchida, Associate Professor of the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary New Science, gave two talks; that is, (1) “Advanced carbon nano materials (invited)” and “Introduction to Toyo University” at the above international conference. He also advertised “Research and educational programmes carried out at Toyo University” to Indian students at the Toyo University’s booth.
