Based on the agreement concluded between Toyo University and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-Delhi) in August, 2012, Bio-Nano Electronics Research Centre (BNERC), Toyo University and Nanoscale Research Facility (NRF), IIT-Delhi agreed on the establishment of the Collaborative Research and Education Programme.
In commemoration of this joint research, a ceremony and workshop were held at the Senate Room at the IIT-Delhi on 8th August. Mr. Shinji Fukukawa, Chairman of Toyo University, and Dr. Makio Takemura, President, attended the ceremony where H.E. Mr. Takeshi Yagi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of Japan in India, made a speech, expressing his expectation for the continuing growth of India and Japan.
In the workshop, researchers of Toyo University and IIT-Delhi presented their research achievements and the members of JOEL Ltd, Shimadzu Corporation, HORIBA, Ltd, and Hitachi, Ltd, in co-operation with BNERC, gave presentations on their research plans in India.
After the ceremony and workshop, the participants were given a tour of the BNERC office at NRF.
