At the Individual Student Level:
Adults in the building acknowledge appropriate student behavior with Tribe Bucks and/or positive, specific verbal praise.
Tribe Bucks go with the student to their classroom in their pocket chart or other designated area of safekeeping.
A celebration will be held each 9 weeks. See the PBIS celebration page for more details.
A schoolwide tribe buck store used as a token economy system for individual rewards
At the Classroom Level:
Once a week (during lunch) students can cash out tribe bucks in the PBIS learning center by grade level
Students can choose to turn in Tribe Bucks for different prizes/matrix items or they can choose to save Tribe Bucks for another week.
Compliment Jars or other similar classroom acknowledgements/systems should be used to earn additional celebrations as a whole class.
Specific classroom rewards for students to work towards using tribe bucks.
Special Awards:
Grade leveled classrooms of the month will be awarded golden trophies to promote positive behavior in these areas.
The winning classes each month will receive 10 tribe bucks per student
The Golden Spatula will be rewarded to the class with the best behavior in the cafeteria each month.
The Golden Dustpan will be rewarded to the class that the custodial staff finds to be the cleanest classroom each month.
The Golden Plunger will be rewarded to the hall with the cleanest restroom each month.
At the end of the year 3 classes will be selected for each award for the year and will receive a special prize.
Teacher Recognition:
Teachers will be recognized for supporting PBIS. Administration and the PBIS Team will recognize teachers with Teacher Tribe Bucks. Teacher Tribe Bucks can be exchanged for rewards on the Teacher reward matrix.
