The roots of Town Cove Tap House began in 1887, when the great-great-great-great-great grandfather of our founder, Aaron Snow, established a coal and mercantile business. Long before our taps were flowing, Aaron was navigating the Atlantic aboard his trusty ship, The Nettie M. Roger’s, transporting goods to his store on the shores of the Town Cove. Over the next six generations, the Snow family business grew and evolved into the Snow’s Home & Garden you know today.
Aaron’s mercantile was more than a store, it was a gathering place. Friends and neighbors came not only to buy the supplies Aaron had sourced for them, but to connect, share stories, and be part of a community.
To honor that legacy and Aaron’s original impact on creating a place where people come together, Town Cove Tap House was born. So, raise a glass with us to a story anchored in history but that’s now poured in the present.
Town Cove Tap House is the vision of Harrison Snow, who combined his love for local craft beer with the 130-year legacy of his family’s business, Snow’s Home & Garden. Alongside his father, James Snow, Harrison is continuing a tradition of excellence in Orleans that dates back to 1887. Together, they’ve created a space where history meets a fresh beginning.
