SHEILA BEE MD, FACP
A native of Kansas, Dr. Bee completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at The University of Kansas. In 1991, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In 1995, she received her Medical Degree and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Her Internal Medicine residency was completed in 1998 at The University of Michigan where she continued on staff as an outpatient clinician seeing patients and proctoring residents and medical students until 2001.
Moving to Colorado in 2001, Dr. Bee worked as a hospitalist in Denver while her husband finished his surgical fellowship in Orthopaedic Spine. The Bees have been in Colorado Springs since 2002, where Dr. Bee has been busy practicing medicine as well as raising their three young daughters.
Taking a holistic approach to medicine, Dr. Bee recognizes the interconnection between mind, body and spirit. She believes in maximizing nutrition, exercise and stress management in any plan to prevent and control disease.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Bee loves living in Colorado and spending as much time as possible outside hiking and playing with her family and friends. She is also involved in the community at her church and is an active supporter of the arts and music.
ANITA LANE MD, FACP
Dr. Lane was born and raised in Joliet, IL. She is the first physician in her family and thanks an influential science teacher for getting her where she is today.
She received her undergraduate degree in Speech from Northwestern University in 1987. She graduated medical school from the University of Illinois and did her post-graduate training at Northwestern University in Internal Medicine. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1994. She joined the Penrose-St. Francis Medical Group (later known as Mountain View Medical Group) and practiced with them for 17 years. She enjoys promoting preventative health and solving complicated cases. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Lane is married and has three daughters. She has served on the Board of Directors of Centura Health, the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center and the Rocky Mountain Women's Film Festival. Her hobbies include outdoor fitness, reading and performing in musical theatre.
