ANITA LANE MD, FACP
Dr. Lane was born and raised in Joliet, IL. She is the first physician in her family and thanks an influential science teacher for getting her where she is today.
She received her undergraduate degree in Speech from Northwestern University in 1987. She graduated medical school from the University of Illinois and did her post-graduate training at Northwestern University in Internal Medicine. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1994. She joined the Penrose-St. Francis Medical Group (later known as Mountain View Medical Group) and practiced with them for 17 years. She enjoys promoting preventative health and solving complicated cases. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Lane is married and has three daughters. She has served on the Board of Directors of Centura Health, the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center and the Rocky Mountain Women's Film Festival. Her hobbies include outdoor fitness, reading and performing in musical theatre.
CHITRA PEDDADA MD
Dr. Chitra Peddada grew up in a small town near St. Louis and became interested in the medical field during high school. After completing training in Internal Medicine at both Yale and Washington University, she worked at UCLA as an Assistant Clinical Professor where she taught medical students and treated patients on the general medicine ward, in cardiac rehabilitation, and at the Women’s Health Center. Having a passion in prevention and treatment of chronic diseases, she led the Penrose-St Francis cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs as medical director for a decade. She is excited to bring her years of expertise in lifestyle interventions including healthy nutrition, regular exercise, and stress management to the outpatient arena.
Dr. Peddada and her family have lived in Colorado Springs for almost 20 years and they enjoy being active skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and cycling together in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Other hobbies include knitting, reading, cooking, and creating photo albums of their amazing family adventures. She has also been active in the community as an organizer for Go Red for Women by the American Heart Association and started the local chapter for The Mended Hearts Program, a nationally known support group for patients with chronic cardiac diseases.
Dr. Peddada maintains board certification in the American Board of Internal Medicine as well as American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. She is delighted to join the team at Touchstone and continue to provide high quality personalized care.
