The format is as follows:

11:45 18 holes on Lakes Course

20:00 Dinner at Brasserie restaurant

Sun 23 Sept 2018:

Breakfast

09:45 18 holes on Links Course

Prizes:

Naturally, longest drives, longest putt and nearest the pins will be present. Also there will be a prize for the best Stableford score from the Sunday round.

Saturday – Fourball Match Play:

Fourball is usually referred to as fourball betterball.

Four players in each group, 2 from each team. Both players in each pair play their own ball the whole round, but it’s only the best scores on each hole within the pairs that is used.

The winning pair at the end of 18 holes (or earlier if dormie) wins a point for their team or a ½ if the round is tied.

Sunday – Singles Match Play:

The conclusion. It all comes down to this. 9 singles matches to determine who will win The RPGS Ryder Cup!

It’s one on one. The winner of each hole gains a point. The player with the most points at the end of their round earns a point for their team or ½ if tied.

Dress Code and Golfing Attire:

Off the course

For the afternoon/evening the dress code is smart-casual. The clubhouse has advised that whilst SMART jeans are permitted, it may be “frowned upon” by club members. I would advise that our Friday casual attire would be more than suitable as a guideline. STRICTLY NO RIPPED JEANS, TEAM/FOOTBALL/RUGBY SHIRTS OR TRAINERS (unless carrying an injury).
