This lab science will emphasize laboratory safety; use of simple laboratory apparatus with particular emphasis on the microscope; the origination and writing of laboratory reports; the methodology associated with scientific inquiry; the cell structure, function and reproduction; genetics and heredity; evolution as change over time through natural selection and cycles, ecosystems and population studies.

BIO178 HONORS BIOLOGY: -1 lab-science credit

Prerequisites: 9th grade; Placement by Middle School Science achievement, or instructor permission
