This class is designed as an introductory course for the Robotics and Programming Courses at THS. Students will be introduced to basic mechanics associated with vex robotics, and programming. They will further their understanding by researching and building their own robots and drones.

The major focus of the Engineering 1 gives students an opportunity to continually develop their interpersonal skills, team work skills, problem-solving skills, creative abilities and understanding of the design process. It also allows students to develop strategies to enable and direct their own learning. Students will employ engineering and scientific concepts in the solution of engineering design problems.
