Number Talk

Number Talks are brief daily practices aimed at building number sense where students mentally solve computation problems and talk about their strategies. Students increase their ability to articulate their thinking and refine their mathematical communication skills through the use of number talks. This TPS Math Challenge is designed to either get you started implementing Number Talks in your math classroom or enhance your skill in administering Number Talks.

This is a voluntary challenge, however you can earn 10 professional development points for completing all challenges. You will also earn a cool looking badge that you can proudly display in your room, in your email signature, or even on your refrigerator at home! As well as a drawing ticket for a chance to win an iPad!
