Below are the links to all the things happening from Google to support schools during this time.

  • Teach from Home is a temporary hub of information and tools to help teachers during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis built in collaboration with UNESCO.
  • We are giving free access to our advanced Hangouts Meet (which allows recording to Drive and up to 250 active participants and live streaming to 100,000 viewers in a domain) in response to the increasing number of schools who are preparing for potential school closures, or currently facing them. The steps for enabling users to join a Hangout Meet, but not create their own call (which is recommended best practice for students) can be found on this support page.
  • g.co/edu/covid19 is our landing page for many of the resources and can be filtered for 'distance learning training' and 'product specific training' if people want assistance with specific tools like Forms or Classroom. There is also a one pager on "Tips for Enabling Distance Learning through G Suite & Chrome"
  • Learn@Home with YouTube is a A resource for families with children of different ages & areas of interest
  • Global Google has been doing a range of webinars on distance learning strategies, you can access them all here under the "on demand" section and sign up for any future ones.
  • Our Partners, Deploy Learning and Unstuck Learning Design, are running a series of webinars about moving Online Together which are unpacking wellbeing and pedagogy of online learning too. These are happening twice a week and can be registered to attend live through this form, or watched asynchronously through their YouTube Channel.
  • Our Edu in 90 YouTube series did a specific episode on Distance Learning which can be accessed here.
